AKA generic troll #2
If a troll hits with both claw attacks, it latches onto the opponent’s body and tears the flesh. This attack automatically deals an additional 2d6+9 points of damage.
Fire and acid deal normal damage to a troll. If a troll loses a limb or body part, the lost portion regrows in 3d6 minutes. The creature can reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump. Trolls can regrow from a single body part if all other body parts are destroyed.
Marv and the party first encountered each other in Xen’drik. The party killed Marv, twice, and scattered his body parts before realizing they could use fire to destroy the remains. They missed a hand, however, and by the time the party left the Temple of Naraash, Marv had fully regenerated.
Marv met them the group again with a pair of buddies, but was killed again by the party. Before getting killed, Marv cut off his hand and threw it to allow himself to regenerate again. The plan backfired when the arriving legion of Naraash’s cult forced the party to retreat before burning Marv.
Marv apparently came back to life before the advancing legion arrived and fled, without finding his hand. How Marv left Xen’drik and got to Cazhaak Draal is unclear. What is clear is that Marv was in the medusa city, and has not forgotten what the party has done to him, even if they have forgotten him.
